Save the Children Nurse
The Opportunity
This position will work to contribute to an improvement in the overall nursing care of the health facilities through the established clinical practice standards. She/he will be working in the PHCC. The Nurse will be responsible for the provision of quality nursing care as per set protocols. The incumbent will also provide support to nurse assistants and team members for the quality implementation of the nutrition program. The incumbent will follow up and monitoring of admitted patients, hygiene promotion, health education, and patient/caregiver counseling, and coordinate and support extend to vaccination, MHPSS, and SRH services. This position is also responsible for documentation, reporting, and analysis of all the information on the assigned program activities. The Nurse will provide messages and guidance on appropriate feeding practices to mothers/caregivers of malnourished children.

শিক্ষাগত যোগ্যতা: Diploma/B.Sc. in Nursing from an accredited academic institution and recognized & registered by Bangladesh Nursing & Midwifery Council (BMDC)
Additional Requirements
- At least three 3 year’s experience, preferably, clinical experience in primary and emergency healthcare, tropical infections, and diseases
- Experienced working in 24/7 health facilities and staff, including previous experience supervising and mentoring other health staff
- Excellent communication skills and a willingness to be respectful, kind, sensitive and empathize with all beneficiaries and their cares
- Willingness and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with difficult and challenging working conditions
- Demonstrable ability of basic report writing
- Prepared to live and work in an uncertain security environment
- Ability and willingness to frequently travel and stay in the field (even night shifts)
- Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles
- Ability to communicate in written and spoken English and local (Chittagonian) language
- Registered and licensed to practice by the Country’s Medical Board
