- Develop objectives for the management of the unit and submit to Nursing Administration.
- Maintain staff discipline.
- Delegate and designate nursing duties to ensure all patient care is carried out in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensure quality of patient care is maintained including compliance with prescribed treatment and hospital policy.
- Utilize all personal available to obtain maximum patient-care services.
- Evaluate and appraise work performed by all in patient nursing staff members and provide staff with information necessary for improving the performance of their jobs.
- Identify and investigate nursing problems grievances and assist to resolve them.
- Assist with orientation of new personnel to working area participated in continuing educational program and clinical nurse training.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and submit minutes of these meeting to HOD.
- Report and document all accidents / incident to patients, visitors, staff.
- Report promptly any unusual occurrence to the Nursing HOD.
- Perform extra duties & any other task assign by the authority.
