Job Responsibilities

• Ensure nursing and health care of the patient in PHC /Hospital setting on a 24/7 Roster basis.
• Responsibility to initiate emergency treatment, stabilization of patients, and ensuring adequate patient monitoring in all medical departments as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and National Guidelines
• Responsible for dressing wounds, minor injuries, and skin infections, and administrating drugs as prescribed by physicians/consultants.
• Help to assist in the Referral/transfer of sick patients and the safe handover of patients.
• Responsible for maintaining excellent infection control standards at the facility level
• Flexibility in working hours because of the emergency nature of activities
• Ability to face workload and good time management
• Knowledge and willingness to participate in humanitarian activities.
• Languages requirement: Bangla and Rohingya Refugee/ Cox’s Bazar preferable
• The employee shall respect Gonoshasthaya Kendra’s & UNHCR’s Conditions of Engagement
• Additional Accountability:
• A positive attitude and a propensity for leadership and team-building with the ability to problem-solve under pressure
• Obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Supervise nursing staff in carrying out clinical duties in a patient care setting. Assess and evaluate the ongoing performance of the nursing staff.
• Plan and implement schedules for the nursing staff on a daily basis and maintain and manage clinical competencies in nursing staff.
• Monitor and review performance improvement activities in nursing functions and supervise specialized training programs for nursing staff
• Special Note
• Carry out any additional assignment in accordance with her/his position entrusted by the clinic Manager of GK from time to time and mutually agreed upon;
• Management may, at any point in time, modify this job description as it is deemed necessary in Gonoshasthaya Kendra’s interests in consultation with an incumbent.

শিক্ষাগত যোগ্যতা:

• Diploma in Nursing in Diploma of nursing and midwifery
• A bachelor of nursing and midwifery is highly preferred
• Must have valid and updated registration with Bangladesh Nursing & Midwifery Council

Tk. 47300 (Monthly)
